Quality awards for eTwinning projects at Selásskóli
Education officials recently gathered at Nauthóll in Reykjavík as Rannís and the Erasmus+ National Office presented the European Teaching Innovation Awards and eTwinning quality awards.
Representatives from two Reykjavík schools received eTwinning quality awards. These quality awards recognize well-executed projects that show professionalism, initiative, and effective use of eTwinning for international collaboration and creative learning. The award recipients were Hjalti Sigurbjörnsson and Guðbjörg Bjarnadóttir, teachers at Ingunnarskóli, for the outstanding project "Boat Games 25," while Rósa Harðardóttir from Selásskóli was also recognized for participating in the same project. This project brings together Ingunnarskóli, Selásskóli, and Vesturbæjarskóli with many other European schools and runs each spring. Sandra Grettisdóttir, a teacher at Selásskóli, also earned recognition for the project "The European Chain Reaction," an excellent project that runs annually at the school.
